Driver who killed Jordan Parsons posts bail

Earlier this year, tragic news surfaced that Bellator MMA prospect Jordan Parsons had been struck by a vehicle in Florida. While initial reports regarding the situation, and what happened, were a bit scarce, it was then revealed that Parsons was in the hospital, where he was forced to have his leg amputated as a result of the accident.

Following the announcement that Parsons had to have his leg amputated, it was then revealed that the young prospect was undergoing heart surgery after it was revealed that his heart was operating at just approximately 1/5 of its capacity.

Unfortunately, surgery didn’t help Parsons, and he ultimately passed away as a result of his injuries sustained in this hit-and-run incident.

The driver of the car which struck Parsons, who was driving on a suspended license at nearly 120 mph when he hit Parsons, which had also been suspended 6 times in the past, was arrested shortly thereafter on several charges, including leaving the scene of a crash causing death.

After the crash, the man, who was identified as 28-year old Dennis Wright, attempted to get the damage to the car done, which was owned by his mother, in order to cover up the incident. After being unable to get the car fixed, Wright stashed the car in a storage pod.

Now, Wright has posted his whopping $450,000 bail, and has been placed on house arrest according to WPTV. In addition, Wright’s lawyers are looking to get Wright permission to leave his house to do other things, such as get a haircut.

So far the judge has requested that Wright’s attorneys present him with a list of places they would like him to give Wright permission to go.

At the time of the incident, Parsons was slated to fight at Bellator 154, where he was looking to bounce back from the first loss of his Bellator MMA career, a controversial split decision loss to Bubba Jenkins.

Parsons’ family is currently in the process of suing Wright, and the bar that served him the evening he struck Parsons with his car.
