Former UFC welterweight Nate Diaz fired many shots at Dustin Poirier earlier today. The Stockton native has been out of action since submitting Tony Ferguson at UFC 279 last September. However, as the story goes, Diaz was never supposed to face ‘El Cucuy’ that night. He was originally slated to face Khamzat Chimaev in the five-round headliner.

UFC lightweight contender Dustin Poirier is leaning toward Conor McGregor to defeat Michael Chandler. Late last week, Dana White announced that ‘The Notorious’ and ‘Iron’ would coach the next season of The Ultimate Fighter. The show is slated to begin broadcasting in May, with a clash later this year yet to be announced. While the date isn’t known, Ariel Helwani has previously reported the bout will take place at welterweight.

Dustin Poirier has reacted to the news that Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler will serve as opposing coaches on season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter. Earlier this morning, UFC President Dana White took to social media where he announced that McGregor (22-6 MMA) and Chandler (23-8 MMA) have agreed to coach season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter, which begins on Tuesday May 30, 2023.

After enduring the early storm from Chandler, Poirier recuperated, eventually latching onto a rear-naked choke in the third round. The back-and-forth brawl cemented itself in the history books.

Lightweight contender Dustin Poirier has weighed in on the viral video of UFC President Dana White slapping his wife on NYE. It was this past New Year’s Eve, when an argument occurred between Dana White and his wife Anne at a nightclub in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Anne proceeded to hit Dana and he promptly struck her back. A video of the altercation was released by TMZ on January 2nd.

UFC lightweight contender Beneil Dariush could probably wait for a title shot, but that’s not his style. The Iranian fighter has been out of action since his clash with Mateusz Gamrot at UFC 280 in October. Prior to that bout, Dariush was hoping that he could secure a title shot with a win. He even offered to be the backup fighter for the headlining championship fight featuring Charles Oliveira and Islam Makhachev.

UFC commentator Anthony Smith doesn’t believe Conor McGregor will have much success in a fourth fight against Dustin Poirier. ‘The Notorious’ has been out of action since his trilogy bout with ‘The Diamond’ last July at UFC 264. In that outing, the Irishman broke his leg in the final seconds of round one, handing him the TKO defeat. The loss was the second straight to Poirier for McGregor. The Irishman previously defeated the Louisana native in their first meeting in 2014.

UFC lightweight Dustin Poirier provided concerned fans with an update on his gnarly staph infection he finds himself battling. Poirier was forced to visit the hospital on Sunday after suffering a gruesome staph infection in his left foot. ESPN reported that Poirier’s staph was not reacting to antibiotics, resulting in the American Top Team athlete remaining in the hospital.

Dustin Poirier wants Nate Diaz to sign a one-fight deal with the UFC. It was back in November 2018 at UFC 230 that Dustin Poirier (29-7 MMA) was scheduled to fight Nate Diaz (22-13 MMA) in a co-main event lightweight bout. The fight never happened as Poirier had to withdraw with an undisclosed injury. As it turned out it was a hip injury which sidelined Poirier ahead of UFC 230.

Conor McGregor has reacted to the news that Dustin Poirier is hospitalized with a staph infection. Conor McGregor (22-6 MMA) and Dustin Poirier (29-7 MMA) have a history inside the Octagon. The two fighters battled it out in the cage on three occasions. It was way back in September of 2014 at UFC 178 that the Irishman defeated ‘The Diamond’ via TKO.  The two met up again 7 years later, in January of 2021 at UFC 257 where it was Poirier who defeated McGregor via KO. The trilogy fight came just 6 months later where Poirier once again defeated ‘Notorious’ via TKO in round 1.

Dustin Poirier has opened up on what he told Michael Chandler after their UFC 281 fight. Poirier won the fight by third-round submission but when the fight ended, the two had some words. Chandler wouldn’t say what they talked about but Poirier took exception to the former Bellator champ fish-hooking him and dripping blood on his face, which he thinks was on purpose. So, once the fight ended, Poirier went to Chandler and wasn’t happy with his actions.
