UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor will be fighting at lightweight for the first time in his UFC career on Saturday at UFC 205. “The Notorious” will look to put on the performance of his life at 155 pounds as he takes on UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez in what could potentially be the most historic fight of the Irishman’s career. If McGregor gets his hand raised over Alvarez on Saturday night, he will be the first fighter to hold two UFC division’s titles simultaneously.

The brash and quick-witted Conor McGregor may have just been beaten down for the first time in a verbal battle leading into his UFC 205 bout against Eddie Alvarez. During a heated exchange during an interview with FOX Sports, Alvarez told McGregor that he isn’t allowed to talk about money because before he reached his superstardom in the UFC, the Irishman used to collect welfare checks.

UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor nearly got into another press conference object-throwing war today during the UFC 205 pre-fight press conference. Back at UFC 202’s pre-fight press conference, “The Notorious” and Nate Diaz got into a crazy war throwing various objects including water bottles, energy drink cans, and a cup of coffee.

The two opponents had their verbal warfare going back and forth but one of the exchanges, in particular, was quite entertaining. McGregor was asked by a member of the media if he was preparing for Eddie Alvarez’s grinding wrestling style, which he had some trouble with against Chad Mendes at UFC 189 back in July of 2015.
