EXCLUSIVE | Colby Covington is not impressed by Tyron Woodley’s rap career

By Tom Taylor - September 16, 2018

Shortly after UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley defended his title with a second-round submission of Darren Till at UFC 228, he announced that he would be releasing a rap single. Colby Covington, the former interim champion and Woodley’s arch rival in the welterweight division, was not impressed by this announcement.

Colby Covington trashed Woodley’s rap career on the latest episode of BJPENN.COM Radio.

“I mean, who wants to listen to Tyrone Woodley talk? Man, let’s be honest,” Colby Covington told host Jason Kindschy. “The guy, every time he opens his mouth, he shoots himself in the foot. I mean, he just won a number-one contender fight. He’s there to promote his next fight, and he’s fucking promoting his rap album? That’s what he says after he wins his fight? His biggest UFC fight, and he’s promoting his rap album. How? Jason, where’s that going to debut in the charts? Let’s be honest. Where is his rap album going to debut on the charts? It’s going to be one of the worst sellers of all time. It was pretty pathetic. He gives a shout out to Wiz Khalifa which, by the way, he invited Wiz Khalifa to his fight, but Wiz Khalifa doesn’t give a fuck about ‘Tyrone’ Woodley, so obviously, he wasn’t in attendance. But that’s the story of Woodley’s career.”

“He just goes and takes pictures with all the A-list celebrities like Wiz Khalifa and all these guys in Hollywood,” he continued. “They don’t give a fuck about him. They don’t even know who he is, or care for him.”

“He’s pathetic, man.”

Needless to say, Colby Covington is not impressed by Tyron Woodley’s music career.

Woodley’s single has now debuted on most major streaming services, including Spotify and iTunes. Give it a listen for yourself and let us know what you think in the comments section!
