EXCLUSIVE | Colby Covington issues savage response to “complete joke” Derrick Lewis

On Monday’s edition of The MMA Hour, UFC heavyweight Derrick Lewis shared his thoughts on UFC welterweight Colby Covington –– and they weren’t exactly positive.

“While we’re on the mic, fuck Colby, whatever his name is,” Lewis said. “Fuck you, motherfucker. Just so you hear that. Go ahead and put that out. I heard he was talking shit. He’s one of those boys that wears Polo shirts and as soon as you touch him, he’s going to call the cops on you. One of them preppy motherfuckers. I don’t know where it was on, I just heard he was talking shit.”

On the latest stacked episode of BJ Penn Radio, Covington dished out a venomous response to Lewis.

“Lewis is a fat piece of trash,” Covington told host Jason Kindschy. “Let’s be honest. He could barely even touch his toes. I’m overhearing he’s calling me preppy. Oh what, I’m preppy because I’m educated and I’m a handsome man with an eight pack. Come on, let’s be honest Jason. The heavyweight division is the weakest division in the UFC. Come on, Tim Silvia was heavyweight champ and he had two left feet. They’re all betas. I’m a alpha. Derrick Lewis is a complete joke. Last time he came to American Top Team, he got left in a stretcher by Steve Mocco. So, Derrick Lewis should probably shut his mouth. He’s gonna make himself look real stupid.”

Covington went on to promise that, whether it’s Lewis or one of the other fighters who’s taken a stab at him recently, he never forgets who wrongs him. And once you’ve ended up in his bad books, you can count on a swift and ruthless dose of vengeance when you’re at your very worst.

“Let me tell you something Jason,” he said. “I don’t ever forget who takes shots at me. I will come back to you and it will be when you are at your lowest point of your life.”
