Exclusive | Lorenz Lark “I just want someone to market me and give me what I am worth”

Welterweight contender Lorenz Larkin became a free agent following his first-round destruction of Neil Magny at UFC 202 this past August in Las Vegas.

“The Monsoon” was a recent guest on BJPENN.com’s Rapid Fire segment with host Chris Taylor where he discussed the two main goals he is attempting to achieve through free agency.

“I want to stay active. I mean as soon as I can I want to get back in there. My whole thing is whichever promotion is going to give me what I am worth. My two main things when it came to this whole free agency thing was I want somebody who is going to put marketing behind me and also give me what I am worth. Those are the two big things that I want. I feel like I never have been marketed since I have been with the UFC. Unless it is fight week that is. Other than that, no real marketing opportunities have ever came by way. I feel like if you put me in front of people, I have personality, I can talk to people. So I just want them (the UFC) to use me. Use me for other things. I am not just sitting at home and just waiting for these fights to come along. I want to work. I want to get out there with the fans. I want to be productive and all these things. I just was never getting used and I never understood it. I am exciting. Fans know who I am. So why not use that. It boggles my mind. This time around I just want someone to market me and give me what I am worth. I have never had any issues with Scott (Coker). I have always respected him to the highest level and he has always been good to me. So whoever it is. As long as they meet those needs then I am open to whomever.”

Since dropping down from the UFC’s 185-pound division (middleweight) to the promotions welterweight ranks, Larkin has gone 4-1 and cemented himself as one of the divisions top threats.
