EXCLUSIVE | Louis Fisette’s TUF 18 Fighter Blog Week 6
Louis “Petit Pain” Fisette (6-1 MMA) is one of the youngest talents in MMA’s rich 135-pound division. The 23 year-old Canadian bantamweight is a contestant on this season of (TUF:18) The Ultimate Fighter: Tate vs. Rousey.
Here is what Louis had to say about Week 6 of his ‘TUF’ experience:
Going out for the pool party was probably one of the nicest things we could have done. I think that was the day after my fight, and we got to watch UFC 161 that was airing live from my home town of Winnipeg. I was obviously very upset about losing, but I mean losing is part of the game. It happens to the best. I feel like people think that losing doesn’t bother me because I don’t cry or get angry about it. The reality of ‘TUF’ is that only 4 people can leave that house without losing. That’s the 4 finalists. That’s how the game works people! It’s a tournament where you’re literally fighting some of the best in the world!!! It’s not like your fighting some ‘Joe Schmoe’ from the middle of nowhere. These are people who have dedicated their lives to this sport.
At the pool party Anthony was actually somewhat annoying. He had had a little too much to drink and was definitely rubbing some people the wrong way. I guess on the ride home, this escalated. When we got home, we hung out in the kitchen for a bit and I guess that is when Anthony started his reign of terror! Honestly, I don’t think he was that bad. Like yea, he interrupted your sleep, and yea he was being an idiot, but whatever. He’s young and immature. That’s what happens. I think a few people really started to dislike Anthony at this point. He was really funny but I think that just started to ware on people. Any longer in that house and I think one of the girls might have killed him.
It really didn’t bother me that he was being annoying, mostly because it was targeted towards the girls. The part that got me was how much he had drank. He hadn’t fought yet, and is always the first to criticize, but yet is in a house to accomplish ‘his dreams’ and can’t keep his hands off booze for 6 weeks! To me that again shows his immaturity.
On to the fight! Honestly, not much to say about this one, it was a war! So hard to tell who won any of those rounds. I really think it was a great fight. Being there in person, it was really outstanding. So back and forth, so razor close. Those girls really gave it their all and I think inspired a lot of young fighters out there!
I’m really looking forward to the guys fight next week. We have an solid match-up and I think it’s going to be interesting!
I’d also like to quickly thank DC mouthguards for hooking up my “grill” mouthguard. It’s all in the works and should look AWESOME! Thanks guys!
