Exclusive | Patrick Côte wants to finish Donald Cerrone at UFC Fight Night 89
UFC welterweight contender Patrick Cote (23-9 MMA) is busy preparing for his UFC Fight Night 89 showdown with Donald Cerrone which takes place next month in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
“The Predator” is currently riding a three-fight win streak and has won six of his past seven bouts overall.
We caught up with Patrick Cote to discuss his UFC Fight Night 89 co-main event booking with “Cowboy” Cerrone. Here is what “The Predator” has to say:
“Everything is going awesome so far (in training camp). We are a little bit ahead of schedule. This is a big and fun fight and I can’t wait.”
We asked Cote what will be the main keys to defeating “Cowboy” next month in Ottawa:
“Pressure. Taking control of the pace of the fight and just overpower him.”
Patrick is coming off an impressive TKO victory over Ben Saunders in his last outing, he is hoping for a similar outcome when he squares off with Cerrone in June:
“That’s what I want (a finish). And I’m going in this fight to finish him!”
