UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley warns Conor McGregor that he is not invincible and should consider taking a seat for at least a little while.

The UFC’s undisputed lightweight champion, McGregor, has been making headlines over the past month for all the wrong reasons.

First there was the incident at Bellator 187 which saw “Mystic Mac” push referee Marc Goddard and slap a member of the commission, this after he had jumped into the cage to celebrate with his victorious teammate.

Most recently, the Irish star was linked to a bar brawl in Dublin where he allegedly struck a member of the Kinahan cartel.

In a recent interview with BJPENN.com’s Chris Taylor, UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley discussed McGregor’s recent troubles and offered the lightweight champion some sound advice.

“I think Conor just needs to sit down somewhere for a while. He is living the life and thinks that he is invincible, but anybody can get touched at any point in time. So I just think he needs to have someone around him like a PR person, or a friend, or his manager, just an accountable individual that could tell him when he should have a seat. He needs to be humble.”

Taylor brought up the fact that McGregor has been partying a lot since his blockbuster boxing match with Floyd Mayweather and asked Woodley if he thought Conor’s most recent actions could be a result of drug or alcohol abuse.

“Man I would hate to go on record and say that drugs are a part of somebodies life if I don’t know it to be true. I would hate for someone to put my name in the same sentence as drugs because that would really piss me off and I would take it personally because I don’t do drugs. So all I can say is he appears altered off something. Maybe it is alcohol. Maybe it is no sleep. Who knows? But obviously there is something there that is altering his judgement. I think that if he was completely in his right mind and sober and all that, then he wouldn’t be doing the things he’s been doing. But then again who knows with Conor. Maybe that is his style. Maybe he would do these things. I think the guys just loves attention. He will do anything for it. You go to the fights and he’s standing cage side. Then he is jumping in the cage when he’s not fighting. Like why are you jumping into the cage at a Bellator event? Your buddy didn’t just win the Bellator grand prix. He won a fight. A fight he was losing. It is like he is starving for attention.”
