Frankie Edgar: “Conor McGregor might be scared of the result”
Former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar will square off with former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo for the promotions interim featherweight title at UFC 200 this July.
The fight will mark the second time that Edgar and Aldo have gone to battle inside the octagon. “The Answer” suffered a unanimous decision loss to Aldo in the main event of UFC 156 in February 2013.
Frankie is confident that the outcome will be different this time around versus Aldo, as he stated at today’s UFC 200 press conference while taking a shot at “Mystic Mac”:
“There’s going to be a two-division champion and it’s not going to be Conor McGregor.”
He continued:
“I don’t know if Conor is scared of me… But he might be scared of the result.”
Do you think Frankie Edgar will be able to best Jose Aldo when they rematch at UFC 200? Is a fight with “Mystic Mac” on the horizon for “The Answer”? Sound off PENN Nation!
