Georges St-Pierre reveals his most proud moment in mixed martial arts

Former two division UFC champion Georges St-Pierre is considered to be one of the greatest fighters in the history of mixed martial arts.

The Canadian super star first captured the UFC welterweight title way back at UFC 65 in November of 2006 by scoring a second-round TKO victory over long time champion Matt Hughes.

After suffering a shocking setback to Matt Serra at UFC 69, “Rush” would eventually reclaim his undisputed welterweight championship at UFC 83 and then go on to defend that title an astonishing nine times.

St-Pierre’s amazing welterweight title reign included victories over BJ Penn, Thiago Alves, Matt Hughes, Dan Hardy, Jon Fitch, Nick Diaz, Carlos Condit, Jake Shields and the aforementioned Matt Serra.

“GSP” would eventually vacate his welterweight title following his win over Johny Hendricks at UFC 167 in November of 2013.

Almost four years to the day later (November 4, 2017), St-Pierre would return to the octagon to face arguably his stiffest challenger in the form of then middleweight champion Michael Bisping at UFC 217.

“Rush” would once again prove his doubters wrong that night in New York city by putting “The Count” to sleep in round three, thus capturing the promotions middleweight title.

“GSP” would quickly vacate his newly obtained UFC middleweight title after he revealed that he was suffering from Ulcerative colitis and didn’t want to hold up the division.

In a recent interview with Submission Radio, Georges St-Pierre revealed his favourite/most proud moment of his mixes martial arts career.

According to “GSP” that moment came in his fight against Carlos Condit at UFC 154 when he stood up after getting knocked down by a head kick from “The Natural Born Killer”, something he couldn’t do previously against Matt Serra.
