Georges St-Pierre says Nick Diaz rematch is “very possible”
This week, rumors of a Georges St-Pierre return to the Octagon picked up more steam as the former welterweight kingpin revealed that he is mentally ready to return to the Octagon.

To add to the speculation following GSP’s interview, rumors surfaced that GSP had reportedly signed to fight Nick Diaz once again, this time at UFC 206.
While St-Pierre has yet to confirm or deny the rumors, ‘Rush’ revealed in an interview with MMAFighting that he very well could be making his return against Diaz:
“It could be very possible to happen.”
“I beat him, but there was a lot of animosity,” St-Pierre said. “I didn’t feel I fought well that fight. He says I poisoned him and all that kind of stuff. Whatever. He has very good excuses. Even myself, I could make excuses, but I’m not that type of guy. Trust me when I say I didn’t fight as well as I wanted to and it would be fun to do it again.”
Diaz, who recently completed his 18-month suspension handed down to him by the NSAC. Has stated that he will only return to the Octagon for big fights.
Do you think a rematch is enough to draw both men out of retirement?
