Report: Robbie Lawler vs. Georges St. Pierre being discussed for UFC 200
According to a report from MMAFighting’s Ariel Helwani, the UFC is trying to set up a welterweight title fight between current champ Robbie Lawler and former title holder Georges St. Pierre for July’s blockbuster UFC 200 pay-per-view event.
Here is what Helwani had to say on twitter:
@arielhelwani Do you think the co-main event will be Robbie Lawler vs. Georges St. Pierre for UFC 200?

@arielhelwani An article in the Sun U.K. It said that they were still looking for a co main event.

Helwani also reported that the UFC is still searching for a co-main event for UFC 200 and that the Frankie Edgar vs. Jose Aldo interim featherweight title fight was never planned to be the event’s co-main feature. His words:
That is true. As of now, Aldo-Edgar is not the co-main. https://t.co/M0gIJpHAAt

A welterweight title fight between Robbie Lawler and Georges St. Pierre would definitely make for one hell of a co-main event in regards to UFC 200.
