GLORY 48: New York Weigh-In Video and Results
Glory 48 takes place this Friday night from The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY. As usual, the evening of fights is split between two cards, being streamed on two separate platforms. The SuperFight series will air on UFC Fight Pass, while the Glory 48: New York card will stream on ESPN 3 and WatchESPN.
This event will also feature the first time that the originally unaided prelims will air. The free streaming service Pluto TV will host these bouts before the SuperFight series begins.
The SuperFight series will be headlined by a women’s super bantamweight title fight between champion Tiffany van Soest and Anissa Meksen. Many believe Meksen poses the greatest threat to van Soest thus far in her kickboxing career.
UFC veteran Chris Camozzi also appears on the SuperFight Series in the co-main event.
The main card features a pair of middleweight tournament semifinal bouts. New York native Wayne Barrett takes on Robert Thomas while Mike Lemaire and Matt Baker square off. The winner of each bout will fight each other later in the night.
Another UFC vet resides on the card as Thiago Silva makes his Glory debut against fellow MMA fighter and kickboxing debutant, John King.
The main event is an interim featherweight championship is on the line between Kevin VanNostrand and Anvar Boynazarov. VanNostrand was originally meant to challenge Robin van Roosmalen until an eye injury forced the champion out of action.
