UFC 222 Results: C.B. Dollaway defeats Hector Lombard via DQ

A middleweight fight between veterans Hector Lombard and C.B. Dollaway kicked off tonight’s UFC 222 prelims on FS1.

Round one begins and Dollaway misses with a head kick to start things off. Lombard fires off a low kick that connects. Dollaway circles along the fence. Lombard with another low kick. Dollaway responds with a heavy kick to the body. Lombard takes the center of the octagon and fires off a low kick. Dollaway replies with another solid kick to the body. He switches stances and lands a right hand. Lombard fires back with a leg kick and then another. Two minutes remain in the opening round. Lombard comes forward with a combination. Dollaway is able to avoid any significant strikes. Lombard with another hard low kick. Dollaway fires off one of his own but Lombard counters him with a nice punch over the top. Hector with a nice left hand. Dollaway fires off a shot to the body. Another good shot from Lombard. The horn sounds to end round one but Lombard fires off another punch that floors Dollaway. That final shot was definitely late. Dollaway does not look to be recovered. This fight is going to be called off.
