Henry Cejudo believes Khamzat Chimaev should pursue middleweight title if he beats Nate Diaz at UFC 279

Cole Shelton - August 23, 2022

Khamzat Chimaev has fought at both welterweight and middleweight in the UFC and Henry Cejudo believes the Swede should return to 185lbs after UFC 279. Chimaev is set to face Nate Diaz in the main event of UFC 279, in what many thought would secure ‘Borz’ a welterweight title fight. However, with Kamaru Usman losing the belt to Leon Edwards and the two likely having a trilogy, Cejudo believes Chimaev should try fighting at middleweight and pursuing the title at 185lbs.

Henry Cejudo explains why he thinks Alex Pereira KO's Israel Adesanya at UFC 281: "There are a couple of things that Israel does wrong"

Cole Shelton - August 9, 2022

Henry Cejudo not only thinks we will hear ‘And New’ at UFC 281, but believes Alex Pereira will become the new middleweight champ by knocking out Israel Adesanya. Adesanya and Pereira have fought twice in kickboxing with the Brazilian winning both, including one by KO. Although MMA is much different, Cejudo believes we will see the same result at UFC 281 as he believes Pereira’s striking is on another level, and will KO Adesanya.

After Nunes became the champ, they had their rematch at UFC 215 for the belt and once again Nunes won the fight, but this time it was by split decision.

After all, when he first retired in 2020, he was a two-weight world champion who had successfully defended the strap at both bantamweight and flyweight.
