Saturday evening in Chicago, Illinois, former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm will look to bounce back from her UFC 196 loss to Miesha Tate as she fights Valentina Shevchenko in the main event of the televised card.

Best Comebacks in UFC History

The fight will be Holm’s first since losing the title back in March, and one she hopes will open the door to a future rematch with Miesha Tate.

Ahead of the fight, Holm spoke about the fight, and her future, at the open workouts. MMAJunkie has the quotes:

“If I don’t win here, then what opportunities are going to be there? I don’t know. I need to make sure I get through this weekend and do a good showing this weekend first.”

“Live and learn. I’m just trying to make sure I’m learning from my experience rather than feeling like it defeated me completely. Yes, I was defeated in that fight, I lost that fight. The more honest I am with myself the more I’m going to want to get better and learn from it. The best thing to do is stay honest with myself.”

Will ‘The Preacher’s Daughter’ be able to defeat ‘The Bullet’ on Saturday?
