Former UFC women’s strawweight contender Emily Ducote will headline Invicta FC 58 next month. In June, Shannon Knapp’s women’s MMA promotion finally returned. After nearly a year away, they held Invicta FC 55 in Kansas City, the city where they’ve largely remained since being founded a decade ago. Since then, they’ve held a few more high-profile events, including one in August headlined by former UFC title challenger Jennifer Maia.

Women’s bantamweight prospect Maria Favela will make her return at Invicta FC 57 later this month. ‘Leona’ hasn’t been seen in the cage since a third-round knockout victory over Louise Hiller in August 2022. While the bantamweight prospect hoped to book a return to the cage soon thereafter, that bout never came. A few months following her stoppage win, Maria Favela was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin Lymphoma.

Invicta FC now has a broadcasting partner just weeks out from the company’s return. The company owned and founded by Shannon Knapp over a decade ago has had a few strange years. Since parting ways with UFC Fight Pass in early 2021, they’ve bounced around a bit. Later that year, they began broadcasting on the Fight Network and AXS TV, but both deals seemingly didn’t work for the company.

Shannon Knapp’s Invicta FC will be returning this summer in Kansas City. Founded in 2012 after the end of Strikeforce, the company is exclusively dedicated to women’s MMA. Over the years, many former and future champions fought in Invicta, including Cris Cyborg, Amanda Nunes, and Rose Namajunas. In recent years, the likes of Erin Blanchfield and Miranda Maverick have left the company to become UFC contenders.

All-women MMA promotion Invicta FC has been sold to Anthem Sports & Entertainment and the organization now has a new television deal. As part of the new deal, Invicta FC will now be aired on AXS TV in the United States and on The Fight Network in Canada. It was previously aired on UFC Fight Pass. The first event under the new partnership will be Invicta FC 44, which takes place on May 21. The card features Invicta FC atomweight champion Alesha Zappitella taking on Jessica Delboni.

All-women’s promotion Invicta FC has truly left its mark on the sport of MMA. However, going forward it will no longer air on UFC Fight Pass. On Monday, Fight Bananas reported the separation between the two parties. Erik Kowal of MyMMANews would later confirm the report.

Former Invicta FC featherweight fighter Sarah Patterson has passed away at age 36, the promotion announced late Monday. Invicta released the following statement on its Twitter following the passing of Patterson. No details have been given about the cause of death at this time.
