Israel Adesanya has some advice for Jon Jones. Adesanya is set to put the UFC Middleweight Championship on the line against Jared Cannonier at UFC 276 on July 2. If he defeats Cannonier, then Adesanya will make his fifth successful undisputed UFC Middleweight Title defense.

UFC middleweight Jared Cannonier isn’t worried about his age heading into his fight with Israel Adesanya. ‘Killa Gorilla’ is set to face the UFC middleweight champion next week at UFC 276. He earned the title opportunity following his brutal knockout of Derek Brunson in February. Furthermore, the bout will be the first time that Cannonier has fought for a UFC championship in his career.

Robert Whittaker believes there is a reason why Israel Adesanya wants him to move up to light heavyweight. Recently, Adesanya came out and said he recommended Whittaker to move up to light heavyweight. To many, the move makes sense given Whittaker is 0-2 against Adesanya and the chances of getting another title shot seems unlikely for now. But, for the Aussie, he believes there is another reason why Adesanya wants that to happen.

UFC Champion Israel Adesanya is sharing some career advice with his former foe Robert Whittaker. The middleweight champion’s only loss of his MMA career came when he made the move from middleweight to light heavyweight.  It was Israel Adesanya (22-1 MMA) vs Jan Blachowicz (29-9 MMA) at UFC 259 in March of 2021. Blachowicz won via unanimous decision.

It will indeed be Teixeira (33-7 MMA) and Prochazka (28-3 MMA) battling it out in the cage in the light heavyweight event at UFC 275 this Saturday night, June 11th. The UFC event is taking place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore.

UFC champion Israel Adesanya has questioned the post-fight of Devin Haney vs George Kambosos Jr from Saturday night. In front of over 40,000 fans at Marvel Stadium in Australia, Devin Haney put on an absolute clinic to defeat George Kambosos Jr and become the undisputed lightweight champion in boxing. Many felt as if Kambosos barely even won a round with Haney somewhat making it look easy and now, the 23-year-old holds the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and The Ring titles to go alongside the WBC crown that he was able to capture way back in November 2019.

Robert Whittaker thinks he’s close to getting another crack at Israel Adesanya. Whittaker and Adesanya first met at UFC 243 when ‘The Reaper’ was the middleweight champ and ‘The Last Stylebender’ was the interim champ. It was Adesanya winning the fight by a convincing second-round KO. The pair would have their rematch at UFC 271 earlier this year and although Adesanya won again, it was by decision and a very close fight, so Whittaker believes if he defeated Marvin Vettori at UFC Paris in September he could earn him another title shot.

Luke Rockhold is hoping to share the Octagon with Israel Adesanya so he can test himself against the best. Rockhold, the former Strikeforce, and UFC middleweight champion is set to return to the Octagon at UFC 277 on July 30 against Paulo Costa. It’s his first fight since Jan Blachowicz brutally knocked him out in his light heavyweight debut. Although he has not fought since 2019, Rockhold is getting the fourth-ranked middleweight and if he wins he would be right back in the title picture.

Adesanya is looking to defend his middleweight title for the fifth time as he headlines the International Fight Week card against Cannonier. The middleweight champ is a sizeable favorite as many expect him to win, but the champ says he wants to make it look easy and prove he is the best.

Cannonier faced off with fellow contender Derek Brunson and won the bout via second-round knockout. Following the fight, the 38-year-old was given the seal of approval by Dana White to receive a title shot next.
