The latter vacated the belt due to injury but upon return, he is fully expecting to square off with ‘Poatan’ for the strap.

The now former UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill has a bold take on Alex Pereira’s title win against Jiri Prochazka. Once Hill suffered a ruptured Achilles, the UFC booked a vacant title fight between Pereira and Prochazka. The fight did not make it past the second round. Prochazka was dropped by a counter hook, and Pereira scored elbows to the side of his opponent’s head, leading to referee Marc Goddard stopping the fight.

While the finish has been debated online, Prochazka himself said he was out at one point during the blitz from Pereira.
