Jeremy Stephens Posts a Savage Belated Comeback to McGregor's Infamous Line
Justin Golightly - September 21, 2017
Jeremy Stephens was able to put on a great performance against scrappy veteran Gilbert Melendez at UFC 215, but there’s one exchange he’d like to forget. Back at the UFC 205 press conference, he tried to zing Conor McGregor on the spot by saying he’s the ‘hardest hitting 145er’ up there. Quick-witted McGregor clapped back by asking who the ‘fook’ was that speaking to him. The line has been memed, remixed, and quoted endlessly ever since. Just a couple of days ago, Stephens was even trolled by Korean Zombie on Twitter with it after calling him out. Finally, Stephens exacted his revenge.

No worries, Stephens jumped to social media and decided to mention the name of another fan favorite: Chan Sung Jung, better known as the Korean Zombie. https://twitter.com/LiLHeathenMMA/status/909906244386791424

Featherweight contender Jeremy Stephens calls for fight with Clay Guida
Tom Taylor - December 27, 2016
Last month, on the undercard of the massively hyped UFC 205, long-time featherweight contender Jeremy Stephens came up short in a fun fight with former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar. Though he nearly finished his foe with a second-round head-kick, Stephens was outworked for the rest of the fight, culminating in a clear unanimous win for Edgar. With this result, Stephens took a few steps back down the featherweight ladder. He’ll now need a big win against a reputable opponent before he’s talked about as a contender again. He is already on the hunt for that next opponent.
Coach says Frankie Edgar's camp for Jeremy Stephens fight was his worst ever
Tom Taylor - November 23, 2016
Earlier this month, in the final bout of the UFC 205 undercard, former lightweight champion and longtime featherweight contender Frankie Edgar took on the dangerous Jeremy Stephens. Barring a moment in the second round where he was wobbled by a Stephens head-kick, Edgar would dominate this contest en route to a sound, unanimous decision win. Apparently, however, Edgar’s preparations for this fight were fairly disastrous. In a recent interview with Daily Star, Edgar’s coach Mark Henry detailed the nightmarish camp Edgar endured in the buildup to his battle with Stephens.

Last night, at the official press conference for the stacked UFC 205, Jeremy Stephens did what very few fighters have the courage to do, and engaged MMA’s reigning trash-talk king Conor McGregor on the microphone. This attempt did not go especially well for the featherweight slugger. I appreciate Jeremy Stephens efforts he but he got totally destroyed by Conor McGregor.
