VIDEO: This might explain Jeremy Stephens insane KO power
Jeremy “Lil Heathen” Stephens was one of the hardest hitting lightweights in the UFC, and has definitely carried that punching power with him at featherweight.
“Lil Heathen” posted a video of him training his striking while using resistance training.

Stephens is set to take on former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar at the upcoming first-ever UFC event in New York State. “Lil Heathen” most recently scored one of the biggest victories of his career over former bantamweight champ Renan Barao in May.
Stephens emphasized his punching power while sharing the dais with Conor McGregor in a now infamous exchange.
“Right here,” Stephens interjected. “I’m the real hardest hitting 145 pounder out there. This guy TKO guys. When I knock them out, they don’t f***ing move.”
The featherweight contender even holds a knockout victory over former lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos back in 2008.
In Stephens most recent Twitter post, “Lil Heathen” is seen using weight resistance while training his striking to keep his power fresh in the later rounds.
Meanwhile, Edgar most recently dropped a decision loss to Jose Aldo for the interim featherweight belt at UFC 200. Before that, the former lightweight champion rattled off five wins in a row, capping off the impressive win streak with a knockout victory over Chad Mendes.
UFC 205 will take place at the historic Madison Square Garden on November 12 and will be headlined by Eddie Alvarez defending his lightweight title against featherweight champ Conor McGregor, who will look to become the first fighter in UFC history to hold two belts at the same time.
Who do you see winning between Edgar and Stephens? Will “Lil Heathen” be the first man to knockout out Edgar or will the former champ get back on track with a win over a surging featherweight contender? Sound off, PENN Nation!
