Joe Rogan announces generous donation to Las Vegas victims fund

By Tom Taylor - October 3, 2017

On Sunday, the world was rocked by a despicable attack in Las Vegas, which left more than 50 people dead and hundreds injured. Unsurprisingly, this terrible turn of events generated some compassionate responses from the Las Vegas based MMA community, including the UFC, who pledged a whopping $1 million to a fund for the families of the victims of this tragedy.

“Our focus right now is on supporting the community and those affected by Sunday evening’s events,” the UFC said in a statement. “UFC 216 on Saturday, October 7 at T-Mobile Arena will proceed as scheduled until further notice.”

“UFC president Dana White tells me the organization will donate $1 million to the families of those affected by the tragedy in Las Vegas,” added reporter Adam Hill on Twitter.

It appears that long-time UFC commentator Joe Rogan will also do his part to support those affected by this terrible turn of events. On Monday afternoon, the UFC personality, who is also a standup comic, announced that 100% of the proceeds of his Friday night show in Las Vegas will go to the families of the victims.

“100% of the money from my show Friday night is going to the Las Vegas Victims Fund,” Rogan said.

Joe Rogan’s show kicks off at 10:00 pm PT at the Terry Fator Theatre at Mirage Hotel and Casino. If you’re in Vegas, get a ticket here to support this cause.
