Joe Rogan announces generous donation to Las Vegas victims fund
Tom Taylor - October 3, 2017
On Sunday, the world was rocked by a despicable attack in Las Vegas, which left more than 50 people dead and hundreds injured. Unsurprisingly, this terrible turn of events generated some compassionate responses from the Las Vegas based MMA community, including the UFC, who pledged a whopping $1 million to a fund for the families of the victims of this tragedy. “Our focus right now is on supporting the community and those affected by Sunday evening’s events,” the UFC said in a statement. “UFC 216 on Saturday, October 7 at T-Mobile Arena will proceed as scheduled until further notice.”

There is no doubt that we are living in a new world of communication with social media being able to have such a big impact on people’s lives. Just dating back to a few presidential terms, even the thought of the President of the United States having a twitter beef with leaders of other countries and professional athletes for that matter would have simply been laughed at.

Well, what he really said was that Malignaggi should “shut the f*ck up.” Riffing on the subject of Malignaggi’s beef with the MMA community –which most recently manifested itself when the boxer got into it with UFC featherweight champ Max Holloway on Twitter – Rogan began breaking down Malignaggi’s chances in the Octagon with various fighters.

Floyd Mayweather is expected to make over $300 million and Conor McGregor over $100 million for their money fight. If they could repeat the success of their first fight, it’s hard to see how either man could turn down that kind of money for another boxing match scheduled for 36 minutes. Joe Rogan spoke with comedian Hannibal Buress on his Joe Rogan Experience podcast recently and Rogan explained why he believes a rematch between the two superstars will happen.

Joe Rogan: Jon Jones is the number one f**kup of all time
Tom Taylor - August 30, 2017
Earlier this month, the combat sports world was rocked by the news that Jon Jones had failed a drug test administered on the eve of his UFC 214 battle with Daniel Cormier. As the latest in an unfortunately long string of drug-related incidents, this failure called into question Jones’ status as the UFC’s new light heavyweight champion, and his legacy one of the greatest fighters in the history of the sport. On a recent edition of The Joe Rogan Experience, long-time UFC commentator Joe Rogan weighed in on what this test means for Jones’ legacy. He wasn’t exactly gentle.

With such a big shift in pay in his professional boxing debut, what will Conor’s fight purses look like going back to the UFC?

VIDEO | Joe Rogan talks about violating his own idea by interviewing Daniel Cormier after being knocked out
Russell Ess - August 1, 2017
UFC commentator Joe Rogan has stated that he personally does not think it’s a good idea to interview fighters in the Octagon after they just had been knocked out. However, he went against his own belief following the UFC 214 main event on Saturday by interviewing Daniel Cormier in the Octagon after he was knocked out by Jon Jones in their title fight. Rogan made a public apology to Cormier and upset fans on social media following the fights and stated that it was entirely his fault and didn’t even realize he was screwing up until it happened. Rogan then took some time to explain the situation with Eddie Bravo on his Joe Rogan Experience podcast.

Russell Ess - July 28, 2017
Joe Rogan has a ton of fans because of his background in martial arts and his undeniable passion for the sport of MMA. Joe Rogan says Conor McGregor would be a "folk hero" if he head kicked Floyd Mayweather
Tom Taylor - June 20, 2017
Though Conor McGregor is an incredibly talented mixed martial artist, he’s being widely discounted in his upcoming boxing match with undefeated legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. People just don’t seem to believe the Irish mixed martial artist will be able to hang with Mayweather in the boxing ring. The same would go for Mayweather in a mixed martial arts bout with McGregor, of course. If McGregor was allowed to use his kicks, elbows, knees, and takedowns – rather than just his fists – Mayweather would be given almost no chance.

Joe Rogan explains why he believes Jose Aldo's legacy will always be tarnished
Tom Taylor - May 31, 2017
Jose Aldo is one of the pound-for-pound best fighters on the planet, and really, one of the best fighters of all time. No matter how you feel about him, there’s really no denying these things. In the opinion of UFC commentator Joe Rogan, however, Aldo’s legacy as one of the best ever will always be tarnished by one thing: his 13-second, 2015 knockout loss to Conor McGregor. Though Aldo has since regained the undisputed featherweight title that he lost to McGregor that night (he did so without avenging his loss to McGregor), that knockout loss stands out as the one blip in an otherwise dominant career.
