Jon Jones recommends taking sex pills because they’re ‘f**king great’ and ‘awesome’
Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is currently sitting on the sidelines with his one-year suspension for testing positive for banned substances.
Jones tested positive for the banned substances clomiphene and letrozole and was notified days before his scheduled UFC 200 title unification bout against champion Daniel Cormier. Jones claimed that the positive test for the banned substances was due to taking a tainted sexual performance pill. However, arbitrators in his hearing ruled Jones responsible for testing positive saying that he did not do his research for checking what the pill consisted of and if any of it was on the banned substances list.
Talking with the media in Buffalo, New York ahead of the UFC 210 event, Jones spoke about his experience with taking sexual enhancement pills.
“I have been in the UFC many, many years, and I have taken sex pills several times throughout my adult life,” Jones said (transcribed by Dave Doyle for MMA Fighting). “Highly recommend it, guys. F**king great. It’s awesome.”
With being suspended and wanting to continue on with his career in MMA, Jones says that USADA’s rules have taken a higher priority in his life.
“I probably should have taken the rules a lot more seriously and literally had everything tested. I just figured it wasn’t needed because it had nothing to do with sport performance,” Jones said. “I take USADA very seriously now, I send them everything and tell them where I am going to be.”
As for his success in the Octagon, Jones says that all of his accomplishments have come from putting in the work and has never taken any shortcuts.
“I have never cheated this sport,” Jones said. “Every ounce of my success has been from hard work, dedication, focus and a lot of times grittiness. I’m not worried about it following me forever because I believe that the fans will see what happened in the situation.”
