Jon Jones responds to Colby Covington’s claims, ‘You’re a special type of liar’
If you didn’t know, Colby Covington and Jon Jones happen to know each other pretty well. In fact, they actually went to college together.
Never attempting to avoid stirring things up in one way or another, Covington says what he wants about who he wants. That includes former UFC light heavyweight king, ‘Bones’ Jones.
Recently Covington made some rather bold claims about Jones’ PED and drug use history.
“He just started doing steroids and always freaking had roid rage. He’d come home and he’d yell at me ‘oh what the f*ck are you doing Colby, do the dishes’ and he would just like freak out. I would see this roid rage in his eyes and I would just be like ‘what’s your deal, man?’. Cause he was wrestling at 197 [pounds], he was a national champ in junior college and he was trying to move up and go to heavyweight. So he thought he had to do a cycle of roids and I just lost a lot of respect for him.
He started partying a lot. Doing ecstasy, doing all these drugs and the rest [is] history. He’s been doing them since college.”
As we’re aware, the reason that Jones is currently inactive from fighting is for yet another failed drug test.
Jones responded earlier today.

You’re a special type of liar bro and honestly I feel sorry for you. Actually think I feel more sorry for anyone in your life who believes a word that comes out of your mouth. The way lies can just roll off your tongue is honestly impressive. You’re disgusting
Jones has yet to be given his USADA suspension for his most recent failure but it’s expected that he will receive at the very least a one-year suspension. If that is what he ends up getting, it won’t really matter since his last fight took place in July 2017 and he was notified of his test failure shortly after.
Covington battles for the interim UFC welterweight title tomorrow night at UFC 225 when he takes on the former lightweight champion, Rafael Dos Anjos.
