BREAKING | Jon Jones Passed His Blood Test Right After UFC 214
It seems like there is a new development in the Jon Jones saga every single day. After allegedly popping for a steroid, we’ve been on an emotional roller coaster that started at heartbroken and is now twisting into the strange and unusual. His own teammate came out very early on claiming this had to be a set-up. Just last night, the California State Athletic Commission Executive Director even said he was confused by the test and it didn’t make any sense. With this new information just reported by Ariel Helwani, it makes even less sense.
Jon Jones passed his blood test right after UFC 214, according to multiple sources. This was 24 hours after the positive test. More coming.

“Jones, the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion, passed a post-fight blood screening administered by USADA on July 29 in the aftermath of his victory over Daniel Cormier at UFC 214, MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani has learned. The negative test was administered just one day after Jones’ infamous July 28 urine screening, which popped positive for the anabolic steroid Turinabol.” — except from an on-going report from MMA Fighting.
What is happening? While we still await the results of his B sample, Jon Jones has passed three tests, one the day directly after his positive test on July 28th. That’s in addition to the news that he passed his post-fight blood screening. Once again, let’s not get out hopes up. Were are no doctors, but there could definitely be a difference in how long a drug can be detected in your urine versus blood.
