While most fans agree that even the best MMA fighters would be in over their heads in boxing matches with the world’s best boxers, boxing trainer Joe Goossen—the man behind champs like Gabe and Rafael Ruelas—is very impressed by Masvidal’s boxing ability.

However, reigning UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman isn’t convinced and believes Masvidal is a sellout. The 170-pound athletes are expected to face off in a welterweight title fight during International Fight Week this summer. In the run-up, both fighters have remained critical of each other. Their verbal conflict almost got physical during a Super Bowl media day in Miami this month. Usman goaded Masvidal to “do something,” but the pair were eventually separated by bystanders. Now “The Nigerian Nightmare” is adding fuel to the fire by accusing Masvidal of being a “clown,” and a sellout.

UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman claims the beef between Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal is an act and suggested they’ve slept with the same women. Covington and Masvidal were friends for years and trained together at American Top Team while moving up the ladder in the UFC. But in the last few years, the pair have developed a heated rivalry, especially after Covington became a star in the UFC and started to talk smack about his fellow fighters at American Top Team, which Masvidal did not like.

A day before the super bowl at the Radio Row media event, the ‘BMF’ winner ran into the welterweight champion. The pair began a war of words and bystanders were forced to intervene to stop the conflict from escalating any further. Kamaru Usman goaded Masvidal to “do something,” but Gamebred accused him of being a “clout chaser.”

Leon Edwards is not a fan of Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal’s altercation at Radio Row during Super Bowl week. The two were doing radio shows to talk about what’s next for them when they saw each other and got into a verbal altercation. Immediately, it went all over social media and UFC president Dana White said he was not a fan of it. For Edwards, he agrees with White and says it makes MMA and the UFC look fake like the WWE.

The two exchanged heated words and had to be separated. The confrontation did not get physical.

Even though the fight is over a month away, Masvidal says his teammate and friend in Romero is already ready.

Fight fans await the result of Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson in April. Nurmagomedov is the reigning UFC lightweight champion and will put his gold on the line against Ferguson. While “The Eagle” would set himself up for a huge rematch with McGregor if he gets past “El Cucuy,” the victory certainly isn’t a lock. Even if Nurmagomedov wins, McGregor might not wait for long.

Smyers is one half of the country music duo Dan + Shay, and he looks a lot like Masvidal. A fan posted a few photos of Dan + Shay accepting their Grammy for Best Country Duo Group Performance for the song “Speechless” and Masvidal was quick to respond.
