Dana White talking with Jose Aldo about featherweight title fight?

By Russell Ess - February 5, 2016

UFC President Dana White does what he wants and can change his mind at the drop of a dime.

News coming from Brazil is giving Jose Aldo fans and supporters a lot to be happy about. ESPN Brazil spoke exclusively with White on Aldo’s next fight (via Google Translate).

“I love Jose (Aldo). I’ll call him today (Wednesday) and we’ll talk to decide who’s next for him,” said White.

ESPN Brazil asked White if the conversation with Aldo would be about a title fight and the UFC President replied, “yes.”

Jose Aldo made it clear through a social media post that the only fights he would accept would be a title fight or a rematch with Conor McGregor regardless of any title being on the line. Aldo simply wants to avenge his disheartening loss where he suffered a 13-second knockout at the hands of McGregor after being undefeated for over ten years.

Aldo said in his announcement about his future fight:

“Hi everyone, i was quiet for a while because i was waiting for my rematch based on how the fight Went down, in fact I was already training for it, but apparently I was wrong. So I wanted to make something clear to UFC: for everything I have done, everything I have accepted and mostly how the fight ended, I will not accept any other fight other than a title shot . My only exception would be fighting thenotorious , at any time, anywhere , and once that he is afraid and knows that I’m gonna win …. Doesn’t have to be title fight against him. Keep my belt, but I wanna whoop ur ass anywhere. @danawhite @lorenzofertitta @ufc keep ur word. I still believe in the company that I work for. #rematch”

With Conor McGregor still having the UFC featherweight championship title and fighting Rafael dos Anjos for the lightweight title, does this mean we will see an immediate rematch between Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor?
