PHOTO | Jose Aldo continues campaign for rematch with Conor McGregor at UFC 200

Since Conor McGregor’s 2nd round submission loss to Nate Diaz in the main event of UFC 196 last week, it was revealed that McGregor would be returning to featherweight to defend his championship.

This week UFC President Dana White visited with McGregor, and revealed McGregor’s intentions to defend his featherweight championship at UFC 200 in July. With that being said, the decision of who he will defend the belt against is not an easy one for the UFC brass.

While Jose Aldo reigned over the featherweight division for 5 years, he was knocked out in just 13 seconds when he fought McGregor at UFC 194. In addition, when the UFC offered Aldo a fill-in fight with McGregor at UFC 196 after Rafael dos Anjos broke his foot, he declined. On the other hand, Dana White promised Frankie Edgar a title shot after he knocked out Chad Mendes at the TUF 22 finale in December.

While the UFC brass figures out who McGregor’s opponent will be, Jose Aldo has continued his campaign for a rematch on social media.

The caption roughly translates to: “What’s up Conor McGregor come on?”

E aí @thenotoriousmma vamos? #UFC200 #revancheufc200
