Penn was once considered the greatest lightweight in UFC history, but Nurmagomedov and his 29-0 MMA/13-0 UFC record has surpassed Penn in the eyes of many as the lightweight GOAT. Penn, however, recently shot back at that notion, saying that he believed Nurmagomedov walked away from his career too early. According to the sportsbook BetOnline, Usman opened as a -700 (bet $700 to win $100) betting favorite for this potential bout, while the comeback on McGregor is +450 (bet $100 to win $450).

The odds are that Leon Edwards will get the title shot before Luque since he has a head-to-head win over him, but Luque believes that his ability to put on exciting fights and be a fresh new contender for Usman puts him ahead of Edwards. In fact, he also believes that he has more weapons to challenge the champion. Speaking to Combate, Luque explained why he is the man to beat Usman.
