Kevin Lee has started training camp and intends to fight on October 6 at UFC 229
Former UFC interim lightweight title challenger Kevin Lee (17-3 MMA) has started training camp and intends to fight on October 6 at UFC 229.
There is just one problem, “The Motown Phenom” is still without a willing opponent.
Kevin Lee recently took to his Instagram where he revealed that he has started training camp for UFC 229 despite the fact that no opponent is in place.
UFC 229 takes place October 6 in Las Vegas. The event is headlined by a lightweight title fight featuring current champion Khabib Nurmagomedov taking on former title holder Conor McGregor.
Kevin Lee was last seen in action at April’s UFC Fight Night 128 event where he scored a fifth-round TKO victory over perennial division contender Edson Barboza.
Lee has won six of his past seven fights overall, with his lone setback in that time coming at the hands and feet of Tony Ferguson in an interim lightweight title fight at UFC 216.
Kevin Lee has been going back and forth with former title challenger Al Iaquinta in recent weeks. However, no official fight announcement has been made by the worlds leading mixed martial arts promotion.
