UFC Fight Night: Oklahoma City medical suspensions – Michael Chiesa facing lengthy sit

Sunday evening, fight fans tuned in for a highly anticipated night of fights in Oklahoma City headlined by a lightweight clash between two of the lightweight division’s most exciting prospects, Michael Chiesa and Kevin Lee.

The main event scrap, which drew attention following an infamous scuffle at a UFC press conference that saw Lee punch Chiesa, was an extremely controversial one that saw Lee pick up a first round submission victory after referee Mario Yamasaki stopped the fight after Chiesa stopped hand fighting the submission.

Also on the main card, Johny Hendricks suffered his first defeat at middleweight, a KO loss to Tim Boetsch, after missing weight the previous day. In addition, Felice Herrig handed Justine Kish the first loss of her professional MMA career, and Dennis Siver made a successful return to the Octagon after a two year long hiatus, where he defeated BJ Penn via decision.
