A welterweight bout between Michel Pereira and Khaos Williams took place on the main card of tonight’s UFC Vegas 17 event. Pereira (24-11 MMA) was last seen in action this past September, where he scored a submission victory over Zelim Imadaev. That win had snapped a two-fight losing skid for ‘Demolidor’, as he had suffered setbacks to Diego Sanchez and Tristan Connelly in his most previous Octagon appearances.

Khaos Williams doesn’t expect Michel Pereira to strike with him this Saturday. At UFC Vegas 17, Williams is set to return to the Octagon just a month after scoring a highlight-reel one-punch KO over Abdul Razak Alhassan. Given he didn’t take much damage, Williams wanted to get one more in this year and that is what happened.

Williams is one of the most promising young fighters in the UFC welterweight division. In his first fight in the UFC earlier this year, he knocked out Alex Morono in just 27 seconds. And then in his second UFC fights this past weekend, Williams brutally knocked out Abdul Razak Alhassan in just 30 seconds. Based on those fights, he looks like one of the top young fighters in the UFC welterweight division.

While the main event between Rafael dos Anjos and Paul Felder certainly attracted a lot of attention on Saturday night, and rightly so, many fans also couldn’t keep their eyes off of the aforementioned Williams after his decisive victory over Abdul Razak Alhassan.

Khaos Williams is ecstatic to be fighting again. Williams had a very impressive UFC debut back in February as he TKO’d Alex Morono in just 27 seconds at UFC 247. Since the fight, he has been wanting to get back in there, but the COVID-19 pandemic and injuries suffered by his would be opponents halted those plans.
