Kimbo Slice “wouldn’t mind” knocking out Wanderlei Silva

Last Monday on The MMA Hour, former Pride champion and newly signed Bellator fighter, Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva, shared his interest in potentially fighting veteran Kimbo Slice.

Kevin Ferguson (aka Kimbo) was recently in Germany for the FIBO Expo, where he sat down with GNP1.de to discuss a possible future fight with MMA legend Wanderlei Silva. His words:

“I like Wanderlei, I think he’ll give me a good fight. He’s gonna want a knockout like I’m gonna want a knockout. Dude, I don’t mind getting knocked out by Wanderlei, but I don’t mind knocking your ass out either, believe that! So it’s gonna be like a good fight. So if he wants some, come get it.”

“The Axe Murderer” received a three-year suspension from the NSAC (Nevada State Athletic Commission) in 2014, this after he evaded officials trying to administer a random drug test.

Wanderlei is expected to return to the cage at one of the Bellator events outside of Nevada, possibly the PPV event planned for the UK later this year.

Meanwhile, Kimbo Slice tested positive for the anabolic steroid nandrolone following his victory over Dada 5000 at Bellator 149 this past February.

A fight in London would be one way of getting around both Silva’s and Slice’s stateside issues.

Would you like to see a fight between Kimbo Slice and Wanderlei Silva put together by Bellator officials? Sound off PENN Nation!
