Heavyweight fighter Drew Chatman made headlines for all the wrong reasons at Friday’s LFA 36 event in Cabazon, California.

Chatman, who was making his professional mixed martial arts debut at Friday’s event, was disqualified just moments after picking up his first career win.

The bizarre turn of events occurred after Drew’s opponent Irvins Ayala had actually knocked himself out following an attempted hammer fist that resulted in his chin colliding with Chatman’s knee.

From there, Chatman decided to celebrate by stepping onto Ayala’s and proceeding to do a flip.

The classless move resulted in Chatman’s disqualification and spawned some harsh but much deserved criticism from the MMA community.

Among those disgusted by the incident was former Bellator welterweight title challenger Lorenz Larkin.

“Da Monsoon” went off on Drew Chatman and his gym, which is owned by former UFC welterweight title challenger Josh Koscheck.

“What a piece of shit you are drew chatman!!!! And @joshkoscheck you should be fucking embarrassed as a coach and gym owner @lfafighting @edblackhouse #classless #pos @bjpenndotcomofficial @mmajunkiedotcom” – Lorenz Larkin

Lorenz Larkin (19-7 MMA) was most recently seen in action at January’s Bellator 193 event where he scored a unanimous decision victory over Fernando Gonzalez.
