Mackenzie Dern gets booked for UFC debut
Mackenzie Dern, a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu ace who has carved out a solid 5-0 record as a professional mixed martial artist, has finally signed with the UFC. The bright young prospect will make her long-awaited Octagon debut at UFC 222 on March 3 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her opponent will be Ashley Yoder.

In her last fight, Dern debuted in the Invicta FC cage, tapping Kaline Medeiros with a third-round armbar. This win was preceded by a submission of Mandy Polk, a decision defeat of Katherine Roy, a 2016 submission of the year contender over Montana Stewart, and a decision win over Kenia Rosas in her MMA debut.
Yoder, meanwhile, is 5-2 overall. She has lost her last two fights, coming up short against Justine Kish and Angela Hill since joining the UFC fold in late 2016.
How do you think Mackenzie Dern will perform inside the UFC’s Octagon?
