UFC women’s flyweight contender Manon Fiorot is done waiting around to face Valentina Shevchenko. ‘The Beast’ has been out of the cage since facing Erin Blanchfield in March at UFC Atlantic City. That night saw Manon Fiorot easily outstrike ‘Cold Blooded’, handing her first promotional loss. With the victory over the young flyweight, the French contender had seemingly locked up a title shot.

The next time that Manon Fiorot appears in the octagon, it will be a fight for UFC gold. ‘The Beast’ returned to the cage over the weekend in the main event of UFC Atlantic City. Manon Fiorot entered the fight riding an 11-fight winning streak, with victories over the likes of Rose Namajunas, Jennifer Maia, and Kaitlyn Chookagian. After the victory over ‘Thug Rose’ last year, the Frenchwoman believed that she had done enough to get a title shot.

In the main event of UFC Atlantic City, a potential title eliminator bout at women’s flyweight went down as Manon Fiorot took on Erin Blanchfield. Fiorot entered the fight with a perfect 6-0 record in the UFC and was coming off a decision win over Rose Namajunas. Blanchfield, meanwhile, was also 6-0 in the UFC and entered the fight coming off a decision win over Taila Santos after scoring a submission win over Jessica Andrade in her first UFC main event.

Fiorot and Blanchfield went toe-to-toe inside the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey for a UFC Fight Night main event. Prior to their fight, both contenders made a strong case for a UFC women’s flyweight title shot, but it’s clear that Fiorot is well ahead of Blanchfield in the pecking order after scoring a one-sided unanimous decision victory. There, Rose Namajunas faced the fast-rising Manon Fiorot. ‘The Beast’ entered the matchup riding a 10-fight winning streak, defeating names such as Katlyn Chookagian in that stretch.
