The UFC has updated its list of fighters removed from the active roster. One name that may surprise some people is Gregor Gillespie. He hasn’t fought since May 2021. There’s no word so far on whether he’s been cut by the UFC or if he’s been removed simply due to inactivity.

Former UFC title challenger Marlon Moraes has announced his retirement from MMA. ‘Magic’ is currently riding a four-fight losing streak, with several being lopsided knockout losses. His last appearance in the cage was against Song Yadong last month, ending in a first-round stoppage. Following the fight, Moraes took his gloves off in the cage, leading many to speculate that his career was over.

The bout has been targeted to take place at UFC 266, which is set for September 25 at a location that has yet to be determined. The fight between Moraes vs. Dvalishvili features two of the top-10 ranked UFC bantamweights.
