On Showtime pay-per-view secured the biggest win of his career, defeating Anderson Silva. The contest was back and forth, but Paul sealed the win on the scorecards with an eighth-round knockdown.

UFC welterweights Matt Brown and Bryan Barberena have verbally agreed to square off once again in a rematch down the road. Last Saturday at UFC Columbus, Matt Brown and Bryan Barberena fought to a Fight of the Night in what proved to be a bout that far exceeded expectations at 170 pounds. Both individuals had their moments but ultimately, Barberena was deemed to be the victor after a split decision was awarded to him by the judges.

UFC welterweight Matt Brown provided a positive health update after withdrawing from his fight against Bryan Barberena at UFC Vegas 44. Brown was set to fight Barberena at UFC Vegas 44 next Friday night at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, but the fight was scratched after Brown pulled out due to COVID-19. Taking to his social media to provide a positive health update, Brown said that he is feeling much better now after being very sick for two days. He also confirmed that he is unvaccinated.

Veteran UFC welterweight fan-favorite Matt Brown returns to the Octagon against Bryan Barberena in a fan-friendly matchup later this year. MMADNA’s Marcel Dorff was the first to break the news of Brown vs. Barberena. The fight is set to take place on December 4. There is no location or venue currently set for this event, though the UFC has held most of its events at the Apex in Las Vegas since the COVID-19 pandemic started, so there seems to be a good chance the event takes place in Vegas. Also on the card is a light heavyweight bout between Jamahal Hill and Jimmy Crute as well as a lightweight bout between Brad Riddell and Rafael Fiziev, in addition to several other bouts.

However, Maia has said that he wants to fight one more time before he hangs up his gloves for good, and he called out Nate Diaz for his final fight.
