Matt Grice vs. Dennis Bermudez booked for UFC 157 in Anaheim | UFC News
A featherweight match-up between Matt Grice (16-4 MMA, 2-4 UFC) and Dennis Bermudez (9-3 MMA, 2-1 UFC) is the latest addition to February’s stacked UFC 157 card.
It was back in June of 2011 that Matt Grice began his second stint in the UFC, this time in the featherweight division. His 145-pound debut was spoiled that night by Ricardo Lamas, who TKO’d Grice in the first-round with a head kick and then punches. Grice did not fight again until June 2012, where he was able to defeat veteran slugger Leonard Garcia via unanimous decision.
Grice will look to stay in the win column this February when he takes on TUF 14 runner-up Dennis Bermudez. After losing to Diego Brandao at the TUF 14 finale, Bermudez has since put together back-to-back wins over Pablo Garza and Tommy Hayden. His latest victory over Hayden came by way of standing guillotine and earned Dennis “Submission of the night” honors.
