UFC welterweights Max Griffin and Carlos Condit traded autographed jerseys following their fight at Saturday night’s UFC 264 pay-per-view. Griffin won a unanimous decision over Condit in a great welterweight fight that served as the main event of the UFC 264 preliminary card. Griffin won the first round with his striking, then Condit took back the second with his own standup, and then “Pain” won the third by outstriking Condit and then taking him down in the final minute of the fight to seal the deal. It was an outstanding effort by both fighters, who have lots of mutual respect.

Max Griffin had no hesitation to accept his UFC 264 fight against Carlos Condit. After Griffin scored a one-punch KO over Song Kenan he knew he would be getting a big fight. He had back-to-back vicious KO’s as prior to that he TKO’d Ramiz Brahimaj where he nearly tore his ear off with an elbow. When he got a call to face Condit, he said it was an immediate yes but there was some hesitation on the former interim champs side.

UFC welterweight Max Griffin has called out Carlos Condit and Vicente Luque after his vicious TKO win at UFC Vegas 13. Griffin battered UFC newcomer Ramiz Brahimaj, giving him black eyes with a laser-accurate jab and eventually finishing the fight with a series of strikes in the clinch. Brahimaj suffered a gruesome ear injury and the doctor was forced to wave off the fight. It was a huge win for Griffin and improved the veteran’s overall UFC record to 4-6.

UFC welterweight prospect Ramiz Brahimaj released a statement after suffering a horrific injury at UFC Vegas 13 in his fight with Max Griffin. Brahimaj was making his debut against nine-fight UFC veteran Griffin on the undercard of Saturday’s UFC Vegas 13 event. Brahimaj hadn’t fought in 18 months after dealing with a tumor in his eye that nearly ended his MMA career. After the eye injury lost him his chance to compete on Dana White’s Contender Series, the UFC matchmakers showed their empathy and decided to give him a fight in the Octagon against Griffin instead.

For Griffin, the hope was to fight much sooner than this. He was scheduled to fight in summer but the UFC could not find him an opponent.
