There’s a new king in town for the UFC featherweight division as the “Blessed” era began with Max Holloway taking out Jose Aldo at UFC 212.

Following the Hawaiian’s biggest win of his career and sporting the undisputed UFC featherweight title, former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar and Cub Swanson were quick to raise their hands to try and take a crack at the newly crowned champion.

Max Holloway's homecoming

Speaking on the Fight Society podcast, Holloway welcomed all challengers with open arms and sent a message to all the UFC featherweight contenders.

“If I didn’t fight you, get ready,” Holloway said (transcribed by Damon Martin of FOX Sports). “Cause what you’re seeing is not what you’re getting. Everybody looking from the outside into the cage, they think they can do this, this and this. When they step in there it’s a different thing with me. So if I didn’t fight you yet, make sure you cover all your bases cause I’m coming.

“And if I did fight you already, like I told [Cub Swanson] when he was interviewing me after my fight — you’re going to get it again. Get ready to get it again.”

At 25-years-old, Holloway is still improving on his game and it has been undeniable every time he steps in the Octagon. Now on an 11-fight winning streak, “Blessed” is looking to go on a title defense streak with plans to rack up a collection of belts.

“I’ve got a ton more to do. I want to be like [Demetrious Johnson]. I want to have my 11 or 12, 13, 14 belt picture,” Holloway said. “I want to be lying down just covered in them. I want a lot of them.

“I want my closets to be filled with UFC belts.”
