Chael Sonnen explains what 'stupid' Jon Jones can learn from Max Holloway

Fernando Quiles - August 1, 2019

Chael Sonnen is critical of how Jon Jones handles questions on his game. Jones is hailed as the pound-for-pound best mixed martial arts fighter in the world, but Sonnen has been on “Bones'” case for his drawing ability. A perfect matchup awaits Frankie Edgar at 135-pounds

Natasha Hooper - July 30, 2019

After Frankie Edgar fell short of grasping the featherweight title against Max Holloway at UFC 240, the possibility that he will move down to 135 is floating in the air. This means “The Answer” would have a lot of fresh competition to get stuck into, and a perfect introduction to the bantamweight division could be none other than Dominick Cruz.

Tom Taylor - July 29, 2019

Max Holloway successfully defended the UFC featherweight title with a unanimous decision win at UFC 240, but his opponent Frankie Edgar didn’t make it particularly easy for him. Alex Volkanovski, the man widely expected to get the next crack at Holloway, was cage-side for the fight, and says he scored it more closely than the judges did. “I actually thought that was a really close,” Volkanovski told MMA Fighting. “Sitting on the sidelines there, I thought it was a bit closer than what the judges scored, 50-45. I thought Frankie might have won some rounds. Definitely competitive I thought.”

He most recent fights have also been against top fighters. This includes back to back wins against Darren Elkins, Chad Mendes and Jose Aldo.
