“The Rock” was not the only individual to praise Michael Bisping for his bold decision, as a plethora of fighters and members of the MMA community showered “The Count” with compliments.
Michael Bisping most recently competed at last weekend’s UFC 217 event in New York, where he suffered a third-round stoppage loss to Georges St-Pierre, surrendering his middleweight title in the process.
The setback to “GSP” snapped Bisping’s five-fight win streak, which included victories over Dan Henderson, Luke Rockhold and Anderson Silva.
As for Kelvin Gastelum, the perennial middleweight contender is coming off a submission loss to former division title holder Chris Weidman at July’s UFC on FOX event in Uniondale.
Prior to that, Kelvin had defeated UFC legend Vitor Belfort via TKO. However, that win was later changed to a no-contest after Gastelum tested postive for marijuana.
The Bisping vs. Gastelum scrap will mark the first time in UFC history that a fighter (Bisping) has headlined two UFC events within the same month.
Who do you think will emerge victorious when Michael Bisping and Kelvin Gastelum throw down on November 25 in Shanghai, China? Sound off PENN Nation!
