Scott Coker discusses Paul Daley - Michael Page scuffle, is interested in having them fight
Tom Taylor - May 21, 2017
On Friday evening, in the main event of Bellator 179, British bomber Paul Daley had the opportunity to spoil the Bellator debut of former UFC welterweight title challenger Rory MacDonald, and set himself up for a shot at the winner of Bellator NYC’s Douglas Lima vs. Lorenz Larkin title fight. Regrettably for Daley and his British fans, MacDonald was simply too much. The Canadian star locked up a choke for the win in the second round. Just moments after his loss, a clever Daley shifted gears and planted the seed for his next fight by engaging in a near-brawl with fellow British striker Michael Page in the stands.

Bellator MMA’s Michael Page possesses arguably one of the most impressive highlight reels in MMA today. The British star has managed to rack up an impressive 12-0 professional record while racking up numerous highlights reel knockouts, most notably his flying knee KO win over Cyborg Santos nearly a year ago. While Michael Page has remained under the Bellator MMA banner over the last three years, ‘Venom’ has just two fights left on his Bellator MMA contract, and admittedly, he isn’t quite sure what will be his next move.

News surfaced Friday morning that Curtis Page, the father of Bellator MMA star Michael Page, is currently facing 22 sex-related charges, and has begun to appear in court. The prosecutor in the case recalled several horrifying incidents for the court, in which Page is accused of having sexually abused a female student after martial arts class on one occasion, before he then allegedly “raped her with a blade held to her throat and threatened to throw her out of the window of her 18th floor flat”.

Michael Page blames 'negative' Fernando Gonzalez for forgettable fight at Bellator 165
Tom Taylor - November 20, 2016
Michael “Venom” Page – also known simply as “MVP” – has long stood out as one of Bellator’s most exciting young stars. Look no further than his recent, skull-smashing knockout of Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos for the reasons behind this reputation. When Page stepped onto the canvas with Fernando Gonzalez at Bellator 165 in San Jose, California, however, his reputation for excitement was dealt a pretty severe blow. In a performance that was reminiscent of Anderson Silva’s lackluster defeats of Thales Leites and Demian Maia, Page showboated, danced and generally failed to engage over the course of the three-round fight. Though he clearly possessed the ability to out-strike his foe, his refusal to put the pedal to the medal resulted in a fight that was fairly difficult to score – as evidenced by the judges’ split verdict.

Tom Taylor - October 31, 2016
https://youtu.be/_I56sI-orqI England’s Michael “Venom” Page, who competes in Bellator’s welterweight division, is one of the fastest rising stars in mixed martial arts. His quick rise to stardom is due in part to his vicious striking arsenal, which famously shattered the skull of his most recent opponent Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos, and to his fan-friendly antics, which manifested themselves when he threw a Pokéball at Santos moments after stopping him. In a few short weeks, “MVP” will look to take his star to new heights, when he battles veteran welterweight Fernando Gonzales on the main card of Bellator 165. MVP and Gonzales have quite a bit of history, having been matched up twice previously to no avail. Today, MVP gave their slow-cooking rivalry even more juice, sending some Halloween-themed trash talk in his foe’s direction in a recently-uploaded video from Real Sport.

bjpenndotcom - September 3, 2016
British welterweight Michael ‘Venom’ Page may fight for Bellator, but with a handful of high-profile UFC fighters signing with the Spike-based promotion recently, MVP can’t help but think of what a Bellator vs. UFC card would look like. While the Bellator/UFC discussion is at an all time high with Rory MacDonald signing with Bellator last week, MVP was asked about his thoughts on fighting on a co-promoted event between the two of them:
