While Miesha Tate is currently gearing up for her UFC 200 co-main event fight against Amanda Nunes, which will also serve as her first title defense, she has bigger plans in mind.

Tate spoke to Fox Sports Live to explain why she has unfinished business with Ronda Rousey that she plans on finishing.

“I sure hope so,” she told FOX Sports Live when asked if her next fight could be against Rousey.

“It’s gotta be. I feel like I have unfinished business there and I feel like I’ve finally hit the full balance of my career and I’m in a really good place right now. I’m training at Xtreme Couture. I have an amazing team behind me. Mentally, physically, emotionally, I’ve got all the check marks.”

Rousey of course hasn’t fought since her UFC 194 KO loss to Holly Holm, and while the possibility of Rousey vs. Tate at UFC 200 was briefly discussed, the former champ won’t be returning to the Octagon until later this year.

Tate and Rousey have a very lengthy rivalry going back to the Strikeforce days. Rousey defeated Tate under the Strikeforce banner in 2012, and then again under the UFC banner in 2013.

How do you see a Rousey vs. Tate III bout playing out?
