Miesha Tate wants Ronda Rousey at Madison Square Garden for UFC 205

UFC women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate is already looking past UFC 200 and her opponent Amanda Nunes. Tate wants to avenge her losses to former champion Ronda Rousey, and would love for it to take place at the UFC’s big event in New York City.

“I think everything happens for a reason,” Tate said at the UFC 200 presser in New York (transcribed by MMA Fighting). “I told everybody I was going to beat Holly and I did, and I’m going to beat Amanda on the 9th, and I’m going to go on, and hopefully I’m going to see Ronda in Madison Square Garden. That’s going to be great.”

Despite the women’s bantamweight division having some contenders with Cat Zingano and Julianna Pena also fighting at UFC 200, Tate has her mind already set on Rousey.

“I think either one of them makes a great contender, they’re both right in that top ranking, we’ll see who wins,” Tate said. “But either way, I’m hoping Ronda’s going to make a comeback before that.”
