UFC welterweight Matt Brown scored a violent knockout victory over Diego Sanchez in the co-main event of last night’s UFC Fight card in Norfolk, Virginia.

After being hurt by a body kick from Sanchez early on in the fight, “The Immortal” was sure to catch the next kick that Diego threw his way.

From there, Brown walked Diego towards the fence and then unleashed a massive right elbow that sent Sanchez crashing to the canvas.

Brown’s brutal knockout of Sanchez caused quite the stir on social media, as many fighters chimed in to share there excitement.

It did not take long for Brown’s highlight reel knockout of Sanchez to be compared with Mike Perry’s jaw dropping knockout victory over Jake Ellenberger.

Perry and Ellenberger squared off at UFC Nashville earlier this year with “Platinum” emerging victorious by way of knockout after landing a brutal standing elbow to the temple of “The Juggernaut”.

Fans and analysts have been going back and forth on Twitter today debating who’s knockout was more spectacular, Perry’s or Brown’s.

Mike Perry would eventually chime in on the subject, declaring his KO to be the better of the two as he did not hit the back of his opponents head.

“I didn’t elbow my opponent in the back of his head.” – Mike Perry

“Platinum” will return to action at UFC on FOX 26 this December in Winnipeg where he will square off with fellow rising welterweight star Santiago Ponzinibio.
