Has life changed for Nate Diaz since tossing Conor McGregor from the throne?

A lot of great things have come to Nate Diaz after he was able to submit the UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor at UFC 196.

Diaz earned the highest payday of his career from the fight with “The Notorious” and has gained media recognition from the masses.

However, Diaz says for him personally, not much has changed. He says he bought a “big bag” of something he thoroughly enjoys after his big payday in an interview on FOX Sports’ “The Buzzer,” but life is the same as it has been for the Stockton native.

“My life is exactly the same, just with a little more press, so far,” Diaz said (at 10:50 of the video). “It’s only been a few weeks, but yeah it’s pretty much. I don’t let it take a hold of me or anything. I’ve been in the UFC for nine years. I was famous nine years ago, you know what I’m saying? I couldn’t walk through the mall or Wal-Mart at two in the morning and without being noticed. It’s been going like this so it’s pretty much the same.”

Diaz acknowledged that there has been a bit of a surge in recognition since UFC 196, but says it’s because it just happened.

“A lot of people recognize because the fight is fresh, but not much has changed,” Diaz said. “Yet.”
